Job Description:

Ability to work remotely from your home or in our Meridian, ID office.

$80,000+ DOE

The Software Engineer role plays an important part in our company’s product development process.

This is a senior-level position with assigned roles and responsibilities related to the day-to-day activities required to support core business applications. This position is expected to also perform the duties and assignments of any previous level task.


Key Functions

  • Leader and promoter of the SDLC process.
  • Knowledge of architecture and design patterns.
  • Provides mentoring assistance and core leadership.
  • Successfully completes complex coding assignments following established coding standards.
  • Initiates and leads improvement opportunities and the develop/implementation of the solutions.
  • Keeps current on emerging behaviors and technologies that could impact/benefit the business.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and HITRUST information security requirements to protect client information.
  • Adheres to AmeriBen culture by demonstrating Integrity, Initiative, Good Judgment, and Teamwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure individual and group goals are achieved with Accuracy, Customer Service and Timely Turnaround.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications & education

  • 5+ years technical experience
  • Accurately document requirements, changes, change control documents and approvals.
  • Prioritize, plan and coordinate assigned tasks to ensure timely turn-around.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft platforms.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment and with external groups.
  • Programming within a SQL environment (creating views, triggers, stored procedures), as well as using SQL-based queries from within programming languages.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical and dental terminology.
  • Accomplished programmer in .NET MVC, HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • 5+ years experience in C#
  • Proficient with Entity Framework or other ORM technologies.
  • Skilled with testing concepts, tools and methodologies for .Net, web design and database driven applications.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology
  • Computer Science Degree or Certification
