Job Description:



Job Purpose

Responsible for directing the processing and payment of claims and provides guidance on the most complex claims. Typically reports to a VP or General Manager. Staff is typically located in multiple sites and/or states and utilize multiple systems. Frequent travel to our Meridian, Idaho office.


Key Functions

Essential duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for directing the processing and payment of claims.
  • Provides guidance on the most complex claims.
  • Develops short/long-term objectives and continually monitors procedures to ensure these are met by staff.
  • Stays abreast of state/federal regulations.
  • Position requires significant and regular external contact with customers or agencies.
  • Has significant budget accountability and manages special projects.
  • Management duties to include hiring, training, coaching, counseling and evaluating performance of direct reports.

Experience and Skills:


Minimum Qualifications and Education

  • BA/BS
  • Minimum of 9 + years of professional/leadership experience or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background


Preferred Qualifications

  • MA/MBA
  • Excellent analytical ability, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, negotiation skills, PC skills
  • Advanced strategic planning, organizational, managerial and leadership skills
