Job Summary

We are looking for an individual that has high-energy and a positive attitude, is a self-starter, and ready to recruit in a fast-paced environment to help us bring the top talent to our company. The Human Resources Recruiter will protect and enhance the organization’s culture by recruiting and placing non-exempt and exempt individuals through the full lifecycle of the recruiting process in a high-volume, growth environment.

Key Result Areas


  • Partner with hiring managers to anticipate and define staffing needs to meet business hiring requirements

  • Serve as the liaison with the area employment agencies, universities and colleges, and other agencies

  • Screen applications and resumes through an applicant tracking system to determine organizational culture and job fit

  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews with candidates

  • Coordinate interviews between the candidates and the hiring teams

  • Act as a point of contact and build candidate relationships during the selection process

  • Make recommendations to hiring managers on candidate selection

  • Administer background check and drug screening procedures

  • Extend employment offers to qualified applicants

  • Communicate verbally and in writing with individuals not selected

  • Present new-hire onboarding information to various size new-hire groups

  • Maintain and update job postings internally and externally

  • Stay current on the organization’s structure, policy and procedures, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices

  • Report on recruiting activities and recruiting metrics on a regular basis

  • Represent the AmeriBen/IEC Group at job fairs and community events

  • Assist in providing a positive work environment and continued employee engagement

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field

  • Three (3) years of related human resources/recruiting experience

  • Experience in human resource compliance areas such as ACA, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, EEOC, HIPAA, federal and state employment law, Title VII, harassment, non-compete-non-disclosure, employee handbooks, personnel files, etc.

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with high-energy level

  • Demonstrate a strong intuition for culture fit while screening candidates

  • Strong cross-team collaboration and customer service skills, ability to maintain excellent working relationships with all departments

  • Experience using an applicant tracking system

  • Experience with recruiting and placement of exempt and non-exempt staff in a fast-paced, growth environment

  • Experience with LinkedIn, job posting boards, and other candidate sourcing tools

  • Proficiency using MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate to employees at all levels and problem solve effectively

  • Ability to handle pressure situations that include frequent deadlines and interruptions

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong speaking and presentation skills in one-on-one, small group, and public settings

  • High level of confidentiality, flexibility, and professionalism

  • Ability to work efficiently, be organized, perform multi-tasking, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines

  • Completes all projects in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ability to provide input on strategic direction
