Job Description:

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist I Apprentice will assist cross-functional teams as they develop and evolve ideas to implement and integrate business applications. This includes detailed design, development and deployment of applications that meet the requirements of the business. This position also helps maintain applications with quality assurance testing.

Key Result Areas

  • Assist with maintaining the health and proper functioning of all equipment and operating software.

  • Assist with the development and integration of key applications for the business in a timely manner.

  • Provide Service-Desk support for business applications

  • Keep abreast of emerging behaviors and technologies that could impact/benefit the business.

  • Quality Assurance of business applications

  • Unit Test development and maintenance

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent

  • Technical background and mindset to solve problems through a technical solution

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft platforms

  • Skilled programmer in .NET MVC / C#, HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Skilled in testing concepts, tools and methodologies for .Net, web design and database driven applications

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment and external groups

  • Experience in administration of Microsoft SQL Server, as well as managing SQL security

  • Programming within a SQL environment (creating views, triggers, stored procedures), as well as using SQL-based queries from within programming languages.

  • Ability to learn and integrate existing and future software solutions, ASP.Net MVC 4/5/CORE, custom as required

  • Ability to document requirements, changes, change control documents and approvals.Ability to follow IT policies and procedures
