Job Description:

Job Summary

Receive, sort, and log incoming checks. Research and resolve checks that cannot be classified. Log and distribute monthly billing reports. Pull monthly electronic bank statements. Research lost checks and coordinate check adjustments. Oversee the department files and storage retention records. Responsible for various accounting administration support in the department. Will provide a high level customer service to internal and external clients.

Key Result Areas

  • Receive, sort, and log all incoming checks within standard turnaround time.

  • Identify different types of incoming checks and disburse them to internal departments and team members accurately.

  • Research and resolve incoming check inquiries to ensure they are distributed timely.

  • Monitor, research and resolve Call Tracking for lost check inquires within standard turnaround time.

  • Obtain monthly bank statements from multiple banks for multiple bank accounts.

  • Oversee the accurate record retention of Client Accounting files.

  • Organize and inventory files for record storage.

  • Sort and distribute department mail.

  • Performs special duties as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Provides backup support for other positions in the department.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Two years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping and/or banking related functions.

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform the Essential Key Result Areas.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, with proficient 10 key and excellent data entry skills.

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills and works well in multi-tasking environment.

  • A flexible team player who possesses integrity, takes initiative and uses good judgment.

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, proficient in Word and Internet and good computer skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, perform multi-functions and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform the Essential Key Result Areas with or without a reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.

  • Work as a team with corporate employees and all internal & external customers.
