Job Description:

Job Summary

Provides support for Appeals and Call Center. Pulls claims for Appeals, Claims, and Call Center. Manages filing area. Files Customer Service correspondence and claims in the proper areas. Scans claims and correspondence for image retrieval.

Key Result Areas


      • Pulls claims within 48-hour turnaround time for Claims, Customer Care Services and Account Management

      • File general correspondence for Claims and Customer Care staff

      • Scans claims, appeals and correspondence for image retrieval

      • Manage general correspondence for Appeals, Customer Care Services and Claims (send off site twice yearly)

      • Gather and distribute items for Appeals, Customer Care Services and Claims

      • Fax and copy for Appeals, Customer Care Services and Claims

      • Manages boxes from off site storage (incoming and outgoing)

      • Research boxes for different departments and order as necessary

      • Assists mail room and other clerical positions as needed

      • Trains other support clerks and temporary staff

      • Create boxes for storage as needed

      • Pull claims for random client claims audits

      • Contacts providers for claim copies as necessary

      • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Complete projects and tasks in a timely and accurate manner

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to work efficiently, perform multi-tasking, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform the Essential Key Result Areas with or without a reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self

  • Knowledge of department assigned

  • Ability to lift and move file boxes

  • Accuracy with numbers
