Job Description:

The Product Owner partners with working team members, key personnel and subject matter experts to identify needs, assess gaps and works cross-functionally to coordinate and establish priorities for the product including the prioritization, design, programming, testing, and implementation of business solutions designed to meet requirements of various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Envisions the final product, communicates the vision, and sees the vision through to completion.
  • Designs product plans by anticipating and prioritizing needs based on criticality, scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
  • Communicates needs in order to acquire resources necessary for the success of the product.
  • Collaborates with the delivery team to maximize results and steers the product by tracking work items and forecasting its progress.
  • Determines, maintains, and outlines work in the product backlog; decides which activities will produce the most business value; and prioritizes it based on business value.
  • Understands the business domain, and the varying needs of different types of users, and works with the user group in order to make sound decisions and determine what features will be in the product release.
  • Works closely with the development team and customers to ensure there is a clear understanding of what features are needed in the product or application.
  • Acknowledges and responds to questions from the team, supports innovation and respects the team's creativity, and offers direction, based on the type of product.
  • Maintains availability to team, encouraging a proactive approach, demonstrating commitment and dedication to building the best product possible.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer-related discipline and/or 2 years’ equivalent experience in IS/IT or in the healthcare industry.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in the following developer languages: SQL (Transact SQL preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 or above (server and desktop).
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Experience with a project management methodology (such as Scrum/Agile) and writing effective documentation.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
  • Types 45 wpm, 10-key and computer knowledge.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate Accuracy, Customer Service, Timely Turn-Around (ACT).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to work efficiently, perform multi-tasking, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and discretion, as well as the ability to adhere to both company policies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security practices and procedures, including HIPAA and HITRUST standards.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform the Key Result Areas with or without a reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
