Job Description:

Analyze, design, program and maintain solutions for reporting, data extracts, data warehousing, and business intelligence needs. Manage reporting and data extract processes as assigned. Act as internal consultant helping the organization understand data requirements to drive and improve processes.

Key Result Areas

Essential

  • Develop stored procedures, SQL scripts, SSIS packages, SSRS reports, and other tools meeting given specifications.
  • Manage and monitor scheduled reporting or other data extract jobs.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Competently document all processes.
  • Provide insight to the data relationships in the database models.
  • Assist in developing new data warehouse structures and processes.
  • Work w/ DBA on maintenance and optimization.

Experience and Skills:

Education

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in IS/IT or a related field and/or equivalent experience in a IS/IT setting and/or 2-4 years experience in the TPA industry.

Skills

  • Transact SQL/PL SQL
  • MS SQL Reporting Services
  • Other current languages used by the corporation.
  • Basic understanding of SSIS
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all tables and fields in core corporate databases.
  • Understand of the dataflow processes throughout the organization.
  • Understanding of data warehouse concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Other current tools used by the corporation.
  • Microsoft Windows XP or above
  • Open VMS
  • Must have knowledge of Healthcare data structures and business practices
  • Experience with the standard corporate tools.
  • Able to competently document all processes
  • Basic project management
  • Good grasp of third party administrator industry processes.
  • Ability to work efficiently, perform multi-tasking, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform the Essential Key Result Areas with or without a reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self
