Job Description:

The Report Developer I designs, programs and maintains MS Reporting Services reports as part of a team. Writes, modifies and maintains complex SQL queries. Consults and coaches internal report users as requested to ensure they understand existing reports. Demonstrates teamwork by efficiently clarifying data requirements of new reports. Triages incoming report incidents and address or escalates to more senior team member. Performs ad-hoc client reporting tasks as assigned.

  • Timely resolution or escalation of issues and incidents.
  • Maintains existing reporting solutions.
  • Thoroughly documents processes.
  • Provides ad hoc reporting as needed from a variety of sources.
  • Competently documents processes.
  • Works within current department accuracy standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Experience and Skills:

  • Technical degree and/or 2 years’ equivalent experience in IS/IT. Health care industry experience preferred.
  • Understanding of relational databases.
  • Understanding of a reporting framework (Microsoft Reporting Services preferred).
  • Knowledge of health care data structures and business practices.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio Business Intelligence
  • Basic understanding of Transact SQL
  • Basic understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server
  • Demonstrated ability to write, modify and maintain SQL queries.
  • Ability to use good judgment in problem solving.
  • Positive attitude with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be competent in the essentials of database management.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and professionalism.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
