Job Description:

The Eligibility Clerk is responsible for imaging, filing, copying, scanning, data entry, running reports, updating address and demographic changes. This position assists with maintaining storage records and stocking mailroom supplies. Creates and works Call Tracking inquires as needed. Offers supports as needed to Supervisor and other team members.

Key Result Areas

  • Updates address and demographic changes.
  • Orders manual ID card request.
  • Responsible for researching and requesting updated addresses for eligibility correspondence and undeliverable checks and returned ID cards.
  • Manages the Eligibility electronic folders including imaging and attaching documents to GBAS records.
  • Assists managing off-site storage for Eligibility/COBRA department.
  • Files monthly billing and the offsite storage of monthly billing reports.
  • Responsible for helping copy and organize in audit batches and transmitting to Eligibility Specialist, Auditor, and/or Supervisor.
  • Assists with ordering supplies and keeping supplies stocked for the Eligibility department.
  • Supports others with various filing and copying functions.
  • Assists in dispersing eligibility-related mail and other documents to appropriate people.
  • Generates call tracking for incoming correspondence and/or works call trackings as needed.
  • Organizes WTM; agenda, take notes during meeting and generate minutes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Experience and Skills:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Flexible and ability to work with and take instruction from various people.
  • Organized and accurate filing skills.
  • Solid data-entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
  • Types 45 wpm, 10-key and computer knowledge.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate Accuracy, Customer Service, Timely Turn-Around (ACT).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to work efficiently, perform multi-tasking, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and discretion, as well as the ability to adhere to both company policies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security practices and procedures, including HIPAA and HITRUST standards.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform the Key Result Areas with or without a reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
