Job Description:

Design, program and maintain MS Reporting Services as part of a team. Write, modify, maintain and optimize complex SQL queries. Consult and coach report users to appropriately ensure they understand and effectively utilize existing reports and services. Manage escalated issues and incidents to resolution. Demonstrate leadership with continuous process improvements. Performs ad-hoc client reporting tasks as assigned.

  • Develop reports meeting expectations
  • Thorough understanding of all tables and fields in core corporate databases
  • Provide insight to the data relationships in the database models
  • Timely resolution of issues and incidents
  • Provide new service development as needed
  • Maintain existing reporting services
  • Ensure team processes are well documented
  • Work with database administrator on maintenance and optimization

Additional

  • Consult and coach on complex reporting tasks
  • Perform basic project management activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required

Experience and Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years equivalent experience in IS/IT. (Health care industry experience preferred) and 2 years of reporting or SQL development experience
  • Proficient understanding of relational databases.
  • Proficient understanding of a reporting framework (Microsoft Reporting Services preferred).
  • Knowledge of health care data structures and business practices.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio Business Intelligence
  • Proficient understanding of Transact SQL
  • Proficient understanding SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server
  • Demonstrated ability to write, modify and maintain SQL queries.
  • Ability to use good judgment in problem solving.
  • Positive attitude with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be competent in the essentials of database management.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
