Job Description:

Provides support to the Document Management team by managing document platforms and files for internal departments and external clients. They manage, research, and maintain various reports that provide critical information necessary to the success of the department and organization. They strive to enable the Document Management department to achieve the team mission of providing excellent service and products.

Key Functions

  • Maintaining the internal and external facing document platforms/files.
  • Completing audit and research projects.
  • Drafting and updating process and tracking documents.
  • Assisting Document Specialists with updating Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs), amendments, and plan documents
  • Provides research of plan documents and historical benefit decisions.
  • Develop a basic understanding of regulations and the unique ways different medical benefits interact with each other and their potential downstream impact.
  • Have excellent record keeping of all assigned tasks.

  • Participates in miscellaneous teams/committees as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure individual and group goals are achieved with Accuracy, Customer Service and Timely Turnaround.

Experience and Skills:

  • High school degree, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong critical thinking capability.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research and record keeping ability.
  • Ability to understand and generate complex content.
  • Positive attitude, with strong drive to help others.
  • Ability to use good judgment in problem solving.
  • Display above average quality service.
  • Ability to work efficiently, perform multi-tasking, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced, self-directed environment.
  • Ensure compliance with security practices and procedures, including HIPAA and HITRUST standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of Third-Party Administration industry and healthcare industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills; ability to negotiate and coordinate diplomatically between multiple parties and manage expectations.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word skills including the use of Styles, Track Changes, Tables, Forms, and various other formatting functions in order to design & edit documents.
