Claimant Matching Clerk

Claimant Matching Clerks are responsible for matching medical claims to the correct members by verifying (name, company, etc) to ensure timely and accurate processing by Claims Processors. This role is also responsible to ensure that rejected claims were denied correctly or determine if those claims should be matched to a member.

Key Functions

• Manually match or deny claims that are halted in our system because of inadequate information.
• Navigate proprietary software systems to locate member information.
• Uses strong organizational and prioritization skills to ensure the Halt Queue is processed in a timely manner while balancing additional departmental tasks.
• Assist Lead with improving documented processes and overseeing daily inventory.
• Assist other staff as needed.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and HITRUST information security requirements to protect client information.
• Adheres to AmeriBen culture by demonstrating Integrity, Initiative, Good Judgment, and Teamwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure individual and group goals are achieved with Accuracy, Customer Service and Timely Turnaround.

Experience and Skills:

• High school degree, or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Office 365 products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
