Job Description:

The Staffing Specialist plays a key role in developing and executing our internal and external staffing strategy, promoting a positive employer brand, and continuously improving our staffing processes while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment law. 

Key Functions

  • Assists in the development and execution of AmeriBen’s full-cycle staffing strategy to ensure the company can meet its performance expectations while sustainably growing.
  • Manages staffing metrics and the workforce planning model to proactively set expectations for staffing needs for recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Completes job analyses and assists hiring managers with updating job descriptions to attract top talent and maintain HR compliance.
  • Manages escalated concerns from Recruiting Specialists and high-volume screening and selection needs.
  • Creates internal and external communications to enhance and support the employer brand.
  • Acts as a liaison to internal and external resources to facilitate high-quality hiring.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws that pertain to hiring processes, such as minimum wage, religious or medical accommodations, and legal interviewing questions.
  • Adheres to AmeriBen culture by demonstrating Integrity, Initiative, Good Judgment, and Teamwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure individual and group goals are achieved with Accuracy, Customer Service and Timely Turnaround.

Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • 3 years’ full-cycle staffing experience.
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certification in Human Resources such as aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP
  • 1 year of marketing or communications experience
