Job Description:

$11.59/hour + DOE
The Blue Card Specialist I monitors end-to-end inventory of claims to ensure our Turn Around Time (TAT) is met for Blue Card partners and clients. Assists Claim Processors with acquiring necessary info to successfully complete claims inventory and assist the team with other issues as needed.  Communicates daily through email with AmeriBen’s Blue Card partners to resolve issues as they arise.

Key Result Areas

  • Reports Blue Card related issues to Team Lead.
  • Monitors Blue Card/AmeriBen shared claim inventory.
    • Recon files/recon exceptions
    • Failed 835 exceptions
  • Monitors/Creates and update Excel spreadsheets daily. (Aged and Adjustment reports)
  • Responds and resolves inquiries from Blue Card partners and internal teams.
  • Ensures resolution and turnaround time for call tracking.
  • Meets department and quality production standards.
  • Request information necessary for completion of claims and follow-up if necessary.
  • Learns processes of dedicated Network.
  • Achieves 95% TAT Resolution.
  • Completes all above tasks for Network/Clients designated for Tier I.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Experience and Skills:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Complete projects and tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Good organizational skills and follow up skills.
  • Knowledge of department assigned.
  • Accuracy with numbers.
  • Team and Goal Oriented.
  • Types 45 wpm, 10-key by touch, and proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Able to demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate Accuracy, Customer Service, Timely Turn-Around (ACT).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently, perform multi-tasking, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and discretion, as well as the ability to adhere to both company policies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security practices and procedures, including HIPAA and HITRUST standards.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform the Key Result Areas with or without a reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
