Job Description:

The Senior Account Representative manages client and consultant relationships and is responsible for retention of an assigned block of AmeriBen clients.

 Can travel up to 40% 

Key Functions

  • Develops and maintains partnerships with clients, brokers, and consultants.
  • Facilitates client meetings, reporting and analysis of client data and recommends strategies for overall Plan cost containment.
  • Manages 8-12 clients, depending on client size.
  • Prepares 10-20 renewals and new plan quotes per year.
  • Implements and partners with implementation project specialist to lead implementation teams for the onboarding of new clients.
  • Assists brokers and clients to resolve issues, improve processes, provide ad-hoc reporting, recommend plan design changes, provide ongoing information regarding industry regulations and trends.
  • Interfaces with key vendors on behalf of clients and brokers
  • Assists with quotes for new and renewing self-funded insurance groups.
  • Cross-sells other services of the IEC Group to self-funded groups
  • Provides strategic direction for AmeriBen based on client and broker needs.
  • Maintains client and consultant relationships to retain clients year over year.
  • Ensure compliance with security practices and procedures, protecting PHI and adhering to HIPAA and HITRUST standards.
  • Adheres to AmeriBen culture by demonstrating Integrity, Initiative, Good Judgment, and Teamwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure individual and group goals are achieved with Accuracy, Customer Service and Timely Turnaround.

 

Experience and Skills:

 

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, teamwork, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A high degree of integrity

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in account management and/or client relations
  • Experience in the self-funded insurance industry
  • Life/health insurance license
  • Familiarity with various laws governing self-funded health plans: ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.
